ACNH May Day returns to New Horizons this year, although the period has been changed: from April 29 to May 7, players will use their May Day Ticket to visit a very fascinating island. The Animal Crossing New Horizons May Day tour seems to have a unique layout. What stays constant is that the Ticket is only valid for one visit, so choose a suitable time to visit. Whether it's the same as last year, you'll go see Rover and maybe he'll give you his briefcase, or there'll be a different reward this time.

Animal Crossing New Horizons May Day Ticket, Prizes, and Items - ACNH May Day Tour
Let's have a look back at how May Day was celebrated last year. Animal Crossing New Horizons celebrated May Day in 2020 from May 1 to May 7. When you upgrade your game and log in during the celebration, Isabelle will send you a morning announcement informing you that the festival has started.
Go to Resident Services and speak with Tom Nook; he will tell you everything you need to hear about the May Day celebration. Go to the airport and meet with Orville; he will provide you with a May Day Ticket left by Tom Nook; this ticket, which has your name written on it, is used for a limited-time island trip. Any player can only visit the May Day Tour island once during the event, but you can begin it whenever you want before it finishes. When you visit the May Day Tour island with a maze, Orville can empty and store your inventory, and you must navigate the maze without the use of any equipment. The labyrinth is designed as follows: to navigate, players must craft special equipment, take out trees, or smash rocks; mistakes will require players to call Rescue Service, which will reset the island and force players to start again.
The May Day tour provides two rewards: a total of nine Bell coupons and the furniture piece Rover's briefcase. Rover's Briefcase is the prize for successfully completing the labyrinth. When you reach the end of the maze in the upper right, you'll see the Rover, the returning player, lying on the ground waiting for you.
You can also find up to 9 Bell Vouchers scattered throughout the island, which you can sell at Nook's Cranny for a total of 27, 000 ACNH bells. There are four Bell Vouchers hidden under several trees, and five more could be cut off by rocks. Prizes won on the May Day island will not be added to your inventory; instead, go home and look in your mailbox for a letter from Dodo Airlines. Any other things you received on the island are not permitted to be brought back with you.
